Formulas used in this calculator: 1. Total Blood Volume (TBV): • Adults and children ≥25kg: – Male: TBV (L) = [0.3669 × height(m)^3 + 0.03219 × weight(kg) + 0.6041] – Female: TBV (L) = [0.3561 × height(m)^3 + 0.03308 × weight(kg) + 0.1833] • Children <25kg: TBV (L) = weight(kg) × 70 / 1000 2. Circulating Plasma Volume (PV) = TBV × ((100 − Hematocrit) / 100) 3. Removed Plasma Volume (RPV) = PV × (Removal% / 100) × CorrectionFactor. The default correction factor in this tool is 1.05 to approximate exchange efficiency. Center-specific protocols may use different factors depending on membrane/system performance and treatment goals.
