Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP)

Parameters

RequiredAllowed: ≥ 0 mmHg

RequiredAllowed: ≥ 0 mmHg

Clinical context

MAP is calculated as: MAP = (SBP + 2 × DBP) / 3 Interpretation depends on clinical context. In shock states, many adult protocols use an initial MAP target around 65 mmHg, then individualize to organ perfusion, chronic hypertension history, and lactate/urine-output response.
